Our "EldorWest" marathon training program that started in November moves into "second session" this weekend with a long run on Saturday, January 20, at 9 am, on our course, starting from Belle Haven Park and heading south to Riverside Park and back. The next run on January 27 is 9 am, at Dunn Loring Metro Station. See www.marathoncharitypartners.org/training/ for full information and future runs.
Come test out our course and meet our coach Jim Kreutel, and please consider joining our program.
If you want to sign up for the remaining 14 weeks of the session, it's $40 for ACF members, $50 for non-members. We will send a $10 "signing bonus" gift certificate from Georgetown Running Company to the next 10 people who sign up for either the training program or for the May 6 Potomac River Run Marathon or Half Marathon.

One of our participants is running her first half-marathon -- perhaps the first half-marathon ever run by a liver transplant survivor. Terri Lynne Willis AKA "Peach" is Lynne Willis aka Peach, a 15-year liver transplant survivor, is training for the U.S. Transplant Games. Coming from the farthest away is Ralm Jung of Riverside, California, who ran 3:50 at Los Angeles Marathon. Our participants range in age from 17 to 70, from 15 states plus DC.
